Canoe the peaceful Penobscot or grab a kayak and tackle some whitewater. Hike the trails in Acadia National Park or go sailing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, or bicycling . Take a day trip to Camden, Belfast, Castine or Bar Harbor , and spend the afternoon visiting art galleries, craft shops and antique stores. Then, head out to sea for a whale watch, or a tour of Maine’s famous lighthouses. There are also lots of places to golf, fish and go for a horseback ride.

Don’t miss the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, The American Folk Festival, or the many other local seasonal festivities you’ll only find here in Maine.

When the temperatures fall, snowshoe in The Farm’s eight-acre backyard, or ski the slopes at Sugarloaf and Sunday River. You can even take the family on an old-fashioned sleigh ride .
